Allow me to introduce myself

 

Welcome back to my blog reader! My name is Alessandra and my group's first project (Commercial Video) was an exciting task that we were able to accomplish with success and I am very excited to start filming our upcoming project (The music video). Something you should know about me is that I truly enjoy editing, filming, and photography. I have not settled on what career path I want to pursue yet, but as of right now I believe that I want a career that revolves around cinematography and digital design. Moreover, what I like about photography is that whatever picture you take can be turned into something much greater than you could ever imagine. For instance, I utilized a sky picture that I took (a while prior) as background for one of edits that I did for my godmother as a gift. I also take interest in learning new languages; Spanish is my first language and then I learned English. I am very interested in learning Korean and hope to be able to speak it in the future, along with many other languages (also I am interested in learning sign language). Furthermore, going back on topic, the reason as to why I truly enjoy editing is that I am very passionate about it and find it comforting. Editing for me is something that you can use to let your creativity fly and create anything that you want! Filming is something that I had not really done before, through the course of my groups and I previous project, I was exposed to a very alike scenario of what a real filming project is and feels like, which was a very exciting experience and a truly educational one. Another thing that you, my reader, should know is that I take a huge liking to reading. I find having books comforting and they give me joy. Lately, I have taken an interest in psychology due to that I am currently taking a class and I find it very interesting. In addition, I enjoy finding little details in music videos, TV shows and movies. Well this is my cue to leave, till next time reader!

An example of details I like to find in music videos, TV shows, and movies is that in BTS's song Black Swan there is a line that says (Translated to English) “Seems like time has stopped” and I truly love how that line is represented through choreography.

This is an example of why I believe photography can lead to something greater, this is a sky picture that I took a while ago which I used as background for an edit that I made as a gift for my godmother. (English translation to the text in the picture: "Memories 2022).

          Welcome back to my blog reader ! After ta king in all the advice and comments that my close friends Jasmine and Jada provided me with regarding my sho rt fil m “Lucky” after they watched it. I have gathered all their suggestions and concerns and have taken them back with me to the editing room. Further, for the scene where Gabriela, the protagonist of the film, interacts with the stranger to ask where the event is located . There was poor quality audio for that scene as I filmed it at the mall therefore there was background noise as well as the sound of the wi nd. This scene is a crucial part of the film, thus I had to fi nd a solution to the problem. I asked the actress who plays Gabriela and the actress who plays the stranger to voiceover that scene in attempt to make it easier for the viewer to unde rstand the dialogue as it plays a vital role tha t in the story and leads to the suspenseful areas of the film. Our Plan

Welcome back to my blog reader! Here is our plan for the music video project! Props:   . Since we chose the song Material Girl, we plan to display a young girl living a lavish lifestyle. To portray this, we plan to use fake money, sunglasses, and a feather boa as our props.  Costumes:    . In our video, we will have one main subject, our material girl, with others playing supporting roles. For the material girl, they would be dressed up in long gloves, fake pearls, and a nice long dress, preferably pink. To fit the stereotype of a gold-digger, they would also wear a blonde wig, a feather boa, and expensive looking sunglasses. The actress would have on light makeup, with the most bold part being some red lipstick.       For the lower class boys, we would have them dress in casual clothing, such as jeans and a hoodie.   Creative Critical Reflection 1 .        1.   How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? . My group’s product was a L'Oréal Paris Lipstick, and its  company usually target s their products at older audiences, mostly adult women . The main theme of L'Oréal products is that they make you feel young once more, due to that their advertisements for the most part consists of women being portrayed as being energetic and living life to the fullest because of the makeup they use. Regarding the lipstick itself, is that it goes against the ideal of the cultural beauty standard that states that the idea of beauty only applies to youth.
