Creative Critical Reflection 1 .        1.   How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? . My group’s product was a L'Oréal Paris Lipstick, and its  company usually target s their products at older audiences, mostly adult women . The main theme of L'Oréal products is that they make you feel young once more, due to that their advertisements for the most part consists of women being portrayed as being energetic and living life to the fullest because of the makeup they use. Regarding the lipstick itself, is that it goes against the ideal of the cultural beauty standard that states that the idea of beauty only applies to youth. The colors that they use ar e to contrasts the colors (such as more skin tone, matted colors) that adult women would on a daily basis wear .            Welcome back to my blog reader! This was  my team’s first film project that we have come together to create. Looking back now, as I was watching the video, I realized that there is always room for improvement and that there were some things that we could have improved . Nevertheless, I noticed that my production skills have improved throughout the course of this project and am very proud of our results, as these show what we are capable of as a group and as individuals . I hope that you enjoy our commercial as much as we enjoyed making it. Well this is my cue to leave, till next time reader!

Review Blog: Tidy Up

Welcome to my blog reader! After my group members and I were done with the process of editing the commercial, we went over how it turned out and discussed it. When we started as a group, we agreed that we would be honest with one another and open about what ideas we liked and disliked. We remembered this as we went over our final product, and we all ended up being happy about the results and turned out to be immensely proud of our outcome. In our eyes, all the elements necessary for the commercial to succeed had been accomplished . Though we did not follow what an everyday L'Oréal Paris lipstick would look like, s uch as having voiceovers with a smooth / charming voice , soft lighting r adiating a warn feel , and themes that revolve around seductiveness. We wanted to add our own twist into it , make it more  unique and go toward s the emotional approach . We were able to advertise the li pstick while bringing our own style as a group to the table

Editing Blog: Meeting the right time duration

Welcome to my blog reader! My group and I were able to meet outside of school, which is when we filmed all the scenes that involved our two wonderful actresses , we filmed these scenes on Wednesday because it was a day that we had school off due to a holiday . The scenes with the actresses are the ones that matter the most due to that it takes more time to film, and we only had one chance to do it since we could not do it at any other time because of the different schedules we all (including the actresses ) had. After being able to film all the scenes with actresses needed, we only had one more scene to shoot, which was a shot of the lipstick by itself for display. At first, our plan was to film the lipstick from different angles/sides and that the lips tick would be spinning. Regardless of what we initially had planned when we edited all the scenes together, we realized that we would not have enough time to fit the last scene in the commercial . Even though we di
