My Pitch
Welcome back to my blog reader!
Here are the two pitches for my film:
. Pitch 1: A group of friends can’t wait to go to the carnival that is coming to town, but it turns out it is nothing like they expected.
. Pitch 2: A young lady wins a riffle ticket, but at what price?
. Pitch 1: The first pitch consists of a group of friends who can’t wait to attend the carnival that is coming to town, but it turns out to be nothing like what they signed up for. This idea was very appealing to me as it makes the characters interact with larger surroundings and individuals. However, it would be difficult to find a carnival near me in time for filming and if I was able to find one in time, it could turn out to be quite expensive if I want to film the characters on the rides that reside at the carnival. Further, the large quantity of actors/actresses this film requires would also bring up a difficulty as I may not be able to find that many people willing to participate, not only the individuals in the friend group but also the background actors enjoying the carnival. Therefore, placing this pitch as one that is hard to make with the resources available to me at the moment.
. Pitch 2: The second pitch consists of a young lady that wins a riffle ticket, but at what price? This idea appears to be more feasible to me as it would provide me with a more accessible location such as a mall. Furthermore, it would also make the experience move in a smooth manner as I would require a much smaller amount of actor which solves the issue that comes with working with a large set of actors/actresses. With my group last year back in AS level, we had the experience of working with a large group of people of which only a very small portion of them showed up as the rest of the cancelled last minute resulting in us having to reschedule. Therefore, concluding that this pitch would work better for me as it would allow me to select a more accessible location as well as to work a rather smaller group of individuals thus placing this pitch as the one that work aid me in making this experience a much smoother one.
Well this is my cue to leave, until next time reader!
