It is Time to Plan

 

                Welcome back to my blog reader! I will discuss my plans for my short film, including scheduling, health and safety, location, participants, back-up plans, and costumes. Starting with location, the first scene consists of the young woman getting ready to go to the event her friend is dragging her to which will take place at my house. Then, the second location will take place in a mall that is relatively isolated or an at empty area where the young woman will arrive believing is the correct location. The young woman will try to walk around in confusion in attempt to find said event. She asks someone about it and they say that the event had passed weeks/or never took place there. She then calls her friend through her house phone and the friend tells her that she never sent her that ticket and that her phone was lost. The young women trying to process what is happening returns home which is our last location. Further, my older cousin will play the young woman and possibly my other cousin will play the individual that tells her that the event is not taking place anywhere near and her audience at the end. If my other cousin is unable to play the role due to her own personal schedule, I will ask my cousins friend (this is the only participant issues that I have experienced so far). I will play the friend on the phone and the stalker that only shows their hand. Further, for props there will be a found and an online ticket. In regard to costumes, the young woman will have two to three outfits, one will be pajamas then the outfit to go to the mall and the last outfit would be a causal one as it is reveal she is telling the story. The stranger who the young woman will as the question to will wear casual clothing and at the end as her friend/audience, she will wear another casual outfit. I was having significant trouble in finding a location as malls are usually crowded and an abandoned mall is not an option as the intention is for it to be relatively isolated but at the same time still have individual in the surroundings. If this location fails, I will instead film in a relatively empty street. I plan to ensure that all the locations that I film in will be safe and won’t be unstable or in danger of falling apart. Regarding scheduling, I created a list of dates to follow in order to complete the short film, here they are:  

. (1/26/2024) - Have Storyboard done by this date. 

. (1/27/2024) - I will visit the mall to see if it is a location suitable for my short film.  

. (2/03/2024), (2/04/2024), (2/10/2024), (2/11/2024) - This will be the dates for the filming days. 

. (2/17/2024) - I plan to begin editing the short film by this date.

After ta king in all the advice and comments that my close friends Jasmine and Jada provided me with regarding my sho rt fil m “Lucky” after they watched it. I have gathered all their suggestions and concerns and have taken them back with me to the editing room. Further, for the scene where Gabriela, the protagonist of the film, interacts with the stranger to ask where the event is located . There was poor quality audio for that scene as I filmed it at the mall therefore there was background noise as well as the sound of the wi nd. This scene is a crucial part of the film, thus I had to fi nd a solution to the problem. I asked the actress who plays Gabriela and the actress who plays the stranger to voiceover that scene in attempt to make it easier for the viewer to unde rstand the dialogue as it plays a vital role tha t in the story and leads to the suspenseful areas of the film. Our Plan

Welcome back to my blog reader! Here is our plan for the music video project! Props:   . Since we chose the song Material Girl, we plan to display a young girl living a lavish lifestyle. To portray this, we plan to use fake money, sunglasses, and a feather boa as our props.  Costumes:    . In our video, we will have one main subject, our material girl, with others playing supporting roles. For the material girl, they would be dressed up in long gloves, fake pearls, and a nice long dress, preferably pink. To fit the stereotype of a gold-digger, they would also wear a blonde wig, a feather boa, and expensive looking sunglasses. The actress would have on light makeup, with the most bold part being some red lipstick.       For the lower class boys, we would have them dress in casual clothing, such as jeans and a hoodie. My group’s product was a L'Oréal Paris Lipstick, and its  company usually target s their products at older audiences, mostly adult women . The main theme of L'Oréal products is that they make you feel young once more, due to that their advertisements for the most part consists of women being portrayed as being energetic and living life to the fullest because of the makeup they use.
