Storyboard for A Trip to Remember

Welcome back to my blog reader! Here is my storyboard for my short film named “A Trip to Remember”

Page 1: The film starts with a young women named Gabriela, who is sitting is sitting at her bed while reading a book as the camera zooms in into a medium close-up. Then, it cuts to a close-up of the phone as she receives a message. This leads to another medium close-up as she grabs the phone which turns into an over the shoulder shot as she is reading the messages from her friend Nancy telling her that she won two riffle tickets to an event at the mall and is begging her to go. After, Gabriela reads the message there is another medium close-up as she replies to her friend with a voice message. From that medium close-up, the camera zooms towards the phone as she gets up from the bed.

Page 2: Then there is a high angle as she is picking out her outfit from the closet which then cuts to a medium close-up of the clothes on the bed. Then, the camera is set inside the bathroom as she enters it. Then, it cuts to an over the shoulder shot as Gabriela looks at the mirror while she re-touches her make up and places a hair clip on her hair. Then, it cuts to a close-up of the young lady putting on her shoes. Then, there is a tracking shot of Gabriela as she walks through the hallway while fixing her outfit.

Page 3: Following this, there will be a close-up of her grabbing her keys. Then, a medium close-up of her as she exits the front door and then a close-up of the door locking. This will transition to a medium close-up of Gabriela as she exits the car and closes the door. Then, a tracking shot will follow her as she walks around the mall looking for the event.

Page 4: As she cannot find the event; she will stop walking which will be seen with a medium close-up. Then, she will check the ticket on her phone with an over the shoulder shot to verify the location. Then, there will be a tilt as she looks up from her phone. From here, there will be a medium close-up as she looks to her side and then decides to ask someone for assistance which there a pan will be used as she walks away. Then, there will be a tracking shot of the young lady looking for someone to ask about the event.

Page 5: Then, there will be a two-shot of the young lady and the stranger she just found. From here, they will have a conversation shown through over the shoulder shots as the stranger tells her that the event does not exist.

Page 6: Following this, there is a pan as she walks away from the stranger. Gabriela then decides to call her friend and puts her on speakerphone which is shown through a medium close-up. As the friend answers, there will be a close-up on the phone. Then, a close-up of Gabriela as she tells her friend that event does not exist. Another close-up of the phone as her friend replies that she does not know what event she is talking about. Back to a close-up of Gabriela as she explains the situation to her friend.

Page 7: Then, there will be another close-up of the phone as her friend explains that she never won the riffle and that she never texted her. Following this, another close-up of Gabriela as she questions her friend. Followed by another close-up of the phone as her friend explains that she had lost her phone the day before and just got it back. Then, a medium shot as Gabriela lowers her phone along with an arc shot of her as she stands there in confusion. This leads to a close-up of the phone as her friend calls for her. Gabriela tells her friend that what is happening is weird and that she is going back home.

Page 8: Then, there is a pan shot of Gabriela leaving the mall. Following this, there is a pan shot of her arriving at her home. Then, another pan of her going up the stairs. This will lead to a tracking shot of the young lady making her way towards the front door and then a close-up of her unlocking the door. Right after this, there will be a close-up along with a tracking shot that will follow the young lady as she enters the door when a hand grabs her by the shoulder, and she gasps.

Following this, there is a close-up of the phone displaying the alarm. Then, a medium close-up of her grabbing the phone to stop the alarm while stating that it was a scary dream. Later, there is a medium close-up of her holding the phone while she receives a message from her friend Nancy. This will lead to an over the shoulder shot of her checking the message of her friend telling her that the party is about to start.

Page 10: There will be a tilt as she looks up from her phone realizing that she is running late for the party. Then, there is a pan as she goes to grab her jacket. Following that, there will be a tracking shot of her as she walks towards the fridge. Then, a low angle from the fridge as she opens the door to grab a bottle of water. Then, there will be a pan as she grabs her keys and exists the door. This will lead to a pan shot from the front door to the bedroom door as it opens while the camera slowly zooms which will finalize the short film.
