Filming day at Hailey's aunt house

Welcome to my blog reader! On Wednesday, the 5th my group members and I met at Hailey's aunt house to start filming the scenes for our commercial. We decided to meet on that day because we thought it would be a great day to film due to that we had school off because of a holiday. We had to travel long distances to meet due to that we each live some what far from each other. I got dropped off at Hailey's house, and then we all (group members) went together to her aunt's house. When we meet the actresses at their home (Hailey's aunt and little cousin), we went over what they were going to do for each of the scenes with them. Then, we started rehearsing with the actors and start to see how we were going to set up all the shots and angles. Before we started shooting, we got both of the actresses in costume so they were ready to shoot! Little actress costume was in a home/casual outfit which was a jean overall with ...

Welcome to my blog reader!   Storyboard for my L'Oréal Paris lipstick commercial: First Scene: During this scene we introduce our first actress, she will be filmed sneaking into her mother's (actress 2) room, using a low angle . She leaves the door slightly open. Second Scene: In the next scene, the little girl (actress 1) looks through her mother's makeup bag to find the red lipstick. A high angle is used to see what's on the bag.   Third Scene: In the third scene, the over the shoulder shot will be used to see the little girl applying the lipstick messily in the mirror. She then drops the lipstick on the floor. Fourth Scene: In this scene, there will be a close up shot on the lipstick. Fifth Scene: In the fifth scene, a tilt will be used to show the older woman picking the lipstick up. This scene will portray a medium shot of the woman dressed elegantly in the mirror applying the same red lipstick. Sixth Scene: In the last scene, the lipstick will be showcas...

Planning for my L'Oréal Paris lipstick commercial

Image
Welcome to my blog reader!   Props:   Because my group decided to produce a L'Oréal Paris commercial, our main prop is L'Oréal lipstick.   Other props we will include are a mirror, a makeup bag, and other makeup products whose names will not be featured.   Costumes:   In our commercial, we will have two actors as the subjects. Our actors would wear everyday indoor house clothes . The child would wear youthful clothing such as a t-shirt with animations on it. The older actress would wear something simple like jeans and a blouse, as the goal of the commercial is to make the setting as relatable as possible for families.   Schedule:   On 9/23/22, our group researched conventions and codes of L'Oréal and general makeup commercials.   On 9/29/22, our group established the props. costumes, location list, backup plan, and schedule.   On 10/3/22, our group will create the storyboard for the 30 second commercial.   On 10/11/22. Research blog: Commercial Conventions

Image
Welcome to my blog reader! My group and I are  advertising a L'Oréal  Paris Lipstick. Normally in makeup commercials, companies will take one of two approaches. Some advertise the product itself very dramatically, and some fun and colorful. Most share a common theme of diversity.     . They wear elegant clothing, though usually solid colors to showcase the makeup.     . Celebrities are often used, like Kate Winslet, Beyoncé, and Gwen Stefani.    . There is almost always a voiceover, usually motivational, confident, and feminist.     . Music tends to be instrumental, but very dramatic to support the encouraging words in the voiceover.     . There is a lot of close ups to the face, women batting their eyelashes, extreme closeups to the lips, and quick camera movements when doing full body shots.      1. ) Lighting varies based on desired ...
