Filming day at Hailey's aunt house

Welcome to my blog reader! On Wednesday, the 5th my group members and I met at Hailey's aunt house to start filming the scenes for our commercial. We decided to meet on that day because we thought it would be a great day to film due to that we had school off because of a holiday. We had to travel long distances to meet due to that we each live some what far from each other. I got dropped off at Hailey's house, and then we all (group members) went together to her aunt's house. When we meet the actresses at their home (Hailey's aunt and little cousin), we went over what they were going to do for each of the scenes with them. Then, we started rehearsing with the actors and start to see how we were going to set up all the shots and angles. Before we started shooting, we got both of the actresses in costume so they were ready to shoot! Little actress costume was in a home/casual outfit which was a jean overall with a pink shirt underneath and an adorable pink bow for her hair. For the older actress , her costume was a much more sophisticated one (to emphasizes the change from a child to an adult). She wore a beautiful elegant black dress with black high heels and a pearl neckless. After both actresses were ready we started shooting our first scene, we started shooting with little actress who was supposed to walk out of her room and sneak into her mother's room while leaving the door slightly open. We had a bit of difficulty filming our first scene (which was shoot at a low angle) due to that the little actress kept not closing the door of her mother's door, laughing, and then she would slam the door. After a few takes, we were able to get the shot and wrap up our first scene with success. Then we were able to film some of the other scenes until we encountered another difficulty with the little actress. When it came to the scene where she would be applying the lipstick, the little actress was so excited for it. But after applying the lipstick once, she did not want to do it again. The problem was our scene was to long and that it why we wanted to reshot it, but due to that the little actress did not want to film it again we decide to keep our first take and simply cut it so it can fit we our time limit requirements (also, we came into agreement that our first take was the best one we could ever get due to how genuine it was because of the actress's excitement to do that scene. After we finished filming all the scene that involved the little actress , we moved on to film with the older actress but then our camera died. We attempted to film while the camera was plugged in and tried to keep the cord out of sight, a bit before this one of our group members ( Isabel) had to leave early. After we said our goodbyes, Hailey and I continued with the filming. Attempted to unplug the camera with low battery to shoot our last scene that involved any actors. I directed this scene, we decided to use a tilt angle for it and found out it was a bit more difficult than we thought. But after we figured it out, we were able to get our perfect take with less than a minute of charge in the camera. After we concluded shooting the scenes that involved actresses, we decided to meet later to film our final scene which will be a shot of the product by itself. Then we said our goodbyes, and each went home. Well this is my cue to leave, till next time reader!
