Allow me to introduce you to my team


                  Welcome back to my blog reader! Allow me to introduce myself first, my name is Alessandra, and my team consists of group members Kyra and Hailey. I have chosen to work with these individuals again due to that I have worked with them on our previous tasks which were the commercial project and the music video project and both tasks were accomplished successfully. As I have spent the whole school year so far working with them, I have been shown through various challenges that we have been able to overcome together as a group is the reason as to why I believe we make a good team. When we had our very first project, the commercial, we encountered many challenges during the filming day where we had to work with the actresses (A young woman and a little girl). It was difficult to get the little girl to stay still and follow what the scene was asking her to perform then when we were able to complete her scenes and were going to move on to the young woman scenes, our camera ran out of battery. We let it charge for a while but when it charged a bit and we tried to use it again it would run out of battery at a fast pace leaving us no time to do our takes, this led us to work together to have accurate shot in very little time. For instance, I was filming the scene while Hailey would be holding the cable of the charger so it would not show up on the video and vice versa. As a team, by working together we were able to quickly overcome our setback and accomplished the task at hand in a successful manner. Then, our second project, which was the music video, had even more challenges than the commercial could have ever imagined. We had to move our filming date closer to our deadline as our actors had cancelled the day before our set filming date, which gave us a major setback. Then our filming day at the mall was very hectic, we could not find each other, then when we were able to find each other, we have to film our last scene first in a hurry as the actor who was playing our poor boy had to leave early, after we were rejected by three stores in a row until we found the one sent by a miracle. This proves that through the task that we have been given throughout the course of the year, we have encountered many challenges, but we have been able to solve them as a team. Overall, I choose to work with my previous group once again for the final task as I feel that we have great communication and teamwork plus I could not be proud of as of what we have accomplished as a group and cannot wait to see what we will do together.                      Welcome back my blog reader! After watching this video , I was able to receive various tips on how to make a short film and what to keep in mind before/ while making one. For starters, some good information that I gathered while watching the video was that for instance one writing advice that I would like to keep in mind is that the speaker in the video explained that “If first you want to go left, go right instead” which means that whatever I think should happen next is probably what the audience is expecting that is going to happen therefore I should do the opposite of what is expected in order to keep that element of surprise and maintain the viewer engage. Getting Everything Ready

                   Welcome back to my blog reader! As I began making the preparations to start filming , I decided to change the title of my short film from “A Trip to Remember” to “Lucky” as I believe it holds more irony. This is due that the protagonist named Gabriela receives a spare raffle ticket from her friend Nancy to an event at the mall in which many could consider her to be lucky as her friend won a raffle ticket and decided to give it to her. However, thing s take a turn when she arrives at the mall and is not able to find the event due to that it was all orchestrated by her stalker. Therefore, I th oroughly enjoy the irony that the title “Lucky” offers as she was in fact not lucky at all. Our Plan

Welcome back to my blog reader! Here is our plan for the music video project! Props:   . Since we chose the song Material Girl, we plan to display a young girl living a lavish lifestyle. To portray this, we plan to use fake money, sunglasses, and a feather boa as our props.  Costumes:    . In our video, we will have one main subject, our material girl, with others playing supporting roles. For the material girl, they would be dressed up in long gloves, fake pearls, and a nice long dress, preferably pink. To fit the stereotype of a gold-digger, they would also wear a blonde wig, a feather boa, and expensive looking sunglasses. The actress would have on light makeup, with the most bold part being some red lipstick.       For the lower class boys, we would have them dress in casual clothing, such as jeans and a hoodie.
